Southern Cross is an innovative and leading edge community care and service provider.  The following Quality Management Systems are an indication of our commitment to Best Practice and Continuous Improvement.

As a result of these Quality Management Systems, Southern Cross regularly updates its existing policies and systems, to improve the effectiveness and Quality of the organisation.

 

ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Southern Cross is Quality Endorsed under International Quality Management Standards (ISO) and achieved
ISO 9001 Certification in 1997.

ISO 9001 is the only recognised quality standard with worldwide acceptance.  The system is supported by policies, procedures, work instructions and records that document the way the work is carried out.

A process of quality assurance activities and Corrective Actions exists to address issues and continuous improvement.  Regular internal performance audits are undertaken in connection with the independent external audits that are carried out by the Certifying ISO Body. 

 

Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Approved

Southern Cross has been independently audited for best practice OH&S Management Systems.

 

Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing

Southern Cross has successfully completed the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing Quality Reporting System.

 

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

Southern Cross as a DVA Panel Provider has successfully completed DVA Quality Reporting.

 

Home and Community Care (HACC) Program National Service Standards

Southern Cross is a validated Service Provider for the Home and Community Care National Service Standards. 

HACC is a jointly funded venture in NSW by the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare (DADHC) and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

 

Queensland Government

Southern Cross is a Certified Quality Assured Supplier for the Queensland Government.

 

Disability Services Queensland (DSQ)

Southern Cross as a DSQ Panel Provider has successfully completed QDSS:2004 (Queensland Disability Service Standards).

 

Transport Accident Commission (TAC) of Victoria

Southern Cross as a TAC Panel Provider has successfully completed the TAC Annual Quality Review.
